HPV PCR and genotyping in our own laboratory
Own laboratory · result usually available the same dayAskabide has its own laboratory to detect HPV DNA by PCR and, depending on the panel, identify risk genotypes. In the routine workflow, a result may be available on the same day when the sample arrives within operating hours, is adequate and passes internal controls.
This is a diagnostic molecular laboratory analysis on the sample, not a visual inspection. Depending on context, the same technology may be used for screening, triage, diagnostic assessment or follow-up. The result does not by itself diagnose cancer or a precancerous lesion.

A positive HPV result does not mean cancer
Most infections are controlled by the body itself. Management depends on the HPV type, cytology, age, history and persistence of the result.
